I'm not sure about competence of the prof for my French class. She spent the first half of class complaining about books and how all of them are inadequate for needs of her students so that's why we have $233 worth of books for ONE class and have to pay to make copies of other things on top of that. Also, she mispronounces things and can't spell rudimentary words like "salle" and "plancher" instead spells them "sale" and "planchet". Phonetically, they make sense, but as a professor of French, I think she should be able to spell. I'll give her a couple of more classes, and if I see that she's a total joke, I'll drop the class. I can't return the books since they were wrapped, and can't be returned once unwrapped, but I'll just suck it up and learn my lesson.
