Soon, my Valentine and I will be en-route to Alaska for our next adventure. We plan to spend a few days adventuring around Anchorage with a friend and then we hit the main event:
My third ultramarathon and first one run exclusively on snow. Since I have an inside sources with the Weather Gods (or as close as one can get to them without being a fortune teller), they speculate that weather patterns will probably continue as they have these last few weeks: snow snow snow. And highs about 20-30F. Chance of Popsicle Karen: 20%. Good deal.
Biggest training goal until then:Don't get sick, don't get sick, don't get sick.
I am running this race for
Team Gab. You can still sign up to run this virtual race too!
Not typically one to sign up for virtual races, I took one look at this adorable little girl, imagined what I had been through at 20 years old, and knew that she is one heck of a Warrior Princess for battling cancer at just five years old and I had to join in. All proceeds go to Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. Won't you join this cause, too?

Yay for Valentines and ultras in Alaska and Team Gab! I'm trying to get buy-in for a trip to AK this summer. So far no go but I'm working on it.
I am so excited for you!! Someday I'll go back to AK and actually get to enjoy it...
Sounds like an incredible ultra! Thanks for the link to that virtual race - I'm definitely on board!
