Spring Race Schedule:

February 19- Little Su 50K
In November, Hubby and I impulsively signed up for this race.  With a roster limited to 150 people, it filled up a week after we decided.

March 3- Bidwell Classic Half Marathon
Matt and I really enjoyed this race last year. After putting in months of speed training, we both plan to go for a new PR. I want to bring mine into the low 1:40s.

March 11- Foggy Bottom Milk Run 10 miler
In keeping with my goal to complete as many of the local races as I am home for, this will be my third (of four). Depending on how I recover from Bidwell the week prior, I may run the 4 miler.

April 1- Hour Run
Another club race.  I've never done a time race before.  Pacing might be a challenge. We shall see how it works out.  No goals for this one at all.


May 6- Avenue of the Giants Half Marathon
 Club race.  Still undecided on whether I want to run this or not.   Likely that this will not be a PR attempt.  As it is one of the taper long runs, I should probably approach this as a MRP run instead.  If I can trust myself to not push too hard, I will do it.

May 20- Cellcom Green Bay Marathon
This will be my sixth Green Bay adventure and my springtime goal marathon.  Shooting for 3:35.

In January, I raced on back-to-back weekends.  It was definitely a learning experience.  Basically, I learned that I don't like to do a race and not give it all I have.  I like to run fewer races and do my best rather than cram my schedule full of races (and race fees!) and give lesser efforts.  

My summer racing schedule is already in the works.  Without giving it away completely, here's a hint: TRAILS.  I'll also be adding a new state to my racing history: Minnesota.
